Edit: Current build: This article is a guide to those drivers needed to run a Dell OptiPlex 790 system running the Windows 7 operating system. Tried updating drivers via geforce experience. Had to download old drivers to get it recognized, tried OW, performance was booty. Today tries installing the 1050ti, immediate problems even getting it recognized. Ive swapped into ssd and a 400w pcu while using my old gtx 760, was running OW at ~40 fps at moderate settings. Within the past week I've upgraded my pc significantly.

I wanted to make full use of the 144Hz functionality on the monitors, and to do so I would have to use either DisplayPort or DVI-D. On the left monitor I could see “DisplayPort- No Signal”, and on the right was my usual desktop.
I made sure all the cables were tight, unplugged them and replugged them- sure enough I even turned it off and on again- but to no avail. They plug directly into an Nvidia GTX 1080. My PC set-up consists of two 144Hz monitors connected via DisplayPort cables. A bit of background - why use DisplayPort anyway? It was fine the day before, and it hadn’t been touched that day, so what gives? Let me back up a little… (unless you’re too eager and just want to see the solution).
